New York Real Estate Leaders, Douglas Elliman Makes A Home In Beverly Hills With New Offices

LOS ANGELES, April 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Douglas Elliman Real Estate, New York's largest residential brokerage, announces its continued expansion in the Los Angeles market with new headquarters in Beverly Hills. The 11,000 square foot office located at 150 El Camino Drive, Beverly Hills, California is being built to seat over 100 agents at any one time, and will include a designated area for the growing new development marketing arm of Douglas Elliman, as well as Knight Frank Residential, who will be co-hosting globally focused events throughout the year. The offices are slated to open in early fall.

The new west coast headquarters are being designed and built from the ground up by one of Los Angeles' preeminent architectural firms, Patrick Tighe Architecture, known for creating internationally recognized structures throughout the world. His diverse curriculum of projects includes Kangde Center Towers in China and the Helsinki Guggenheim Museum, as well as the Rick Owen's store in London. The firm's work has received over 50 design awards including seven National AIA Honor Awards, American Architecture Awards, Los Angeles Architecture Awards, as well as local AIA awards. Patrick Tighe received a Master of Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles and has worked in the offices of Frank Gehry and Thom Mayne. He is currently a professor and the University of Southern California.

Known for creating authentic, contemporary Architecture informed by technology, sustainability, and building innovation, Tighe is creating an office that embodies the LA lifestyle. The two-story structure will feature a timeless and open floor plan that incorporates indoor-outdoor flow, state-of-the-art display capabilities, and cutting-edge technologies. The refined and airy design will be anchored by a striking architectural staircase that connects both floors but will still retain a warm and inviting feeling which was a key creative direction provided to Patrick Tighe from several of the Douglas Elliman Agents. The terms of the lease are for ten years.
