Dr. Visnich even went so far as to handwrite Ms. Jumper a letter explaining his intentions and assuring her that her job would be available upon her recovery.

Dr. Visnich has reported receiving hateful phone calls and emails, being called hateful and soulless, and generally being negatively discussed on social media. Supporters of the doctor are rallying to raise money for Jumper's medical expenses and defending his right to let an employee go at will.
