New You Magazine Beats Marie Claire for Silver Folio Award

MIAMI BEACH, Fla., Jan. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- New You magazine edged out Marie Claire for a Silver Award in its debut at the annual Folio Awards ceremony held in New York City on Tuesday. The prize was awarded for Best Single Article in a Women's Fashion/Lifestyle Magazine; the other finalist, along with Marie Claire, was Family Circle.

"We are very proud to have received this prestigious award, especially considering the competition we faced," said New You publisher Peter Mansfield. "We are just entering our second year of publication, whereas both the other finalists have been published since the 1930s."

The story, Facial Fillers 101, described the latest techniques and technologies for reversing the signs of facial aging. It was written by executive editor Elyza Drewa.

New You is the only U.S.-based magazine devoted to cosmetic surgery and anti-aging therapies.
