New youth sports complex coming to South Georgia
KINGSLAND, Ga., Oct. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Georgia Gateway Central Improvement District and EPIC Destinations, LLC have reached a memorandum of understanding with Sports Fields Inc. to develop a Sports Force Parks youth sports complex within the EPIC Adventures project in Kingsland, Georgia. This will be the second Sports Force Parks location following the success of Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Sports Center in Sandusky, Ohio.
Once open, Sports Force Parks at Epic Adventures will be one of the highest quality sports parks in the Southeast. With an initial cost of $24M, Phase 1 will consist of 8-10 multi-purpose fields that can host a variety of sporting events including baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, and more. The park will also include an ADA accessible community field, a "great lawn" and an events plaza with additional family activities, including attractions, playgrounds, food and beverage options, and more. Design is underway and construction of the park is scheduled to begin Q2 2018 with an opening in Q1 2019.
