Newport Corporation to Present at CJS Securities and Needham Investor Conferences

IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Newport Corporation (NASDAQ: NEWP) today announced that its senior management is scheduled to present at the 12th Annual CJS Securities "New Ideas for the New Year" Conference on Wednesday, January 11, and at the 14th Annual Needham Growth Stock Conference on Thursday, January 12, 2012.  Both conferences will be held in New York City.

President and Chief Executive Officer Robert J. Phillippy and Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Charles F. Cargile will appear at the CJS Securities Conference on Wednesday, January 11.  Details regarding the conference are available from CJS Securities.
