Newport Corporation to Report 2011 First Quarter Results on April 27

IRVINE, Calif., April 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Newport Corporation (Nasdaq: NEWP) today announced that next Wednesday, April 27, 2011, the company will release results for its first quarter ended April 2, 2011.  The company said that President and Chief Executive Officer Robert J. Phillippy and Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Charles F. Cargile will host an investor conference call that day at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time (2:00 p.m. Pacific time) to review the company's financial results and business outlook.
