NexPoint Launches Sixth Storage DST, Continuing Expansion of Firm's Self-Storage Platform

NexPoint Storage VI Includes Two Class-A Generation-V Storage Facilities in the Nashville MSA and Washington-Arlington-Alexandria MSA

DALLAS, Jan. 6, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- NexPoint, a multibillion-dollar alternative investment firm, today announced the launch of NexPoint Storage VI DST, a Delaware Statutory Trust ("DST") offering, which includes two Generation-V ("GenV"), Class-A storage facilities in the Nashville and Washington-Arlington-Alexandria ("Washington DC MSA") metropolitan statistical areas ("MSAs").

The two GenV storage facilities, located in Temple Hills, Maryland, and Nashville, Tennessee, will be managed by Extra Space Storage, an industry-leading owner and operator of self-storage properties. NexPoint believes both regions present attractive long-term investment opportunities given the favorable demographic qualities. The $45 million offering qualifies for 1031 exchanges. It is open to accredited investors and requires a minimum investment of $100,000.

The Temple Hills, Maryland, storage facility is located in Prince George's County, roughly 10 miles southeast of Washington, D.C. The facility's proximity to major highways, regional malls, and shopping centers provides an attractive location for a GenV storage facility. The Washington DC MSA benefits from a stable, growing population, in large part from job growth tied to opportunities in the government, education, and healthcare sectors.

The Nashville property will serve residents in Nashville and the surrounding metropolitan area. The Nashville market has established itself as a key transportation hub, offering convenient access to major highways, rail networks, and airports, helping drive both business and tourism growth.

Both Class-A properties feature the key amenities and characteristics of GenV storage facilities, including enhanced security, fully climate-controlled units within a single multi-story building, and locations in areas with above-average household incomes.
