Next Day Animations Selects 2017 Animations to Change the World Grant Winners

BALTIMORE, June 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Next Day Animations has named the recipients of the 2017 Animations To Change The World grant. The grant winners, HOPE 4 Youth and Lovin' Spoonfuls, were selected from a pool of over 100 highly qualified applicants. These organizations will each receive a 2-minute animation free of cost, including custom illustration, professional voiceover, and original scripting.
"We're thrilled to be partnering with these outstanding organizations to help share their innovative work with a wider audience," Said Hannah Brown, Associate Partner at Next Day Animations. "Both of these groups stood out for their innovative approaches to youth homelessness and hunger. Rather than declaring one 2017 grant winner, this year we decided to award two grants to allow us to select and recognize both organizations for their vision and leadership."
HOPE 4 Youth provides pathways to end youth homelessness. Located in Anoka, Minnesota and founded in 2012, HOPE 4 Youth provides services for homeless youth ranging from food and a hot shower to housing and employment. Through their advocacy, HOPE 4 Youth works to end youth homelessness in the community they serve.
Lovin' Spoonfuls works to rescue and distribute healthy, fresh food that would otherwise be discarded to communities and people in need. Located in Brighton, Mass., Lovin' Spoonfuls works to bridge the gap between abundance and need through eliminating food waste in the community.
Both organizations will receive a 2-minute explainer whiteboard animation, a $5,250 value, at no cost to share their message with a broad audience through an effective, engaging online video. Next Day Animations videos use humor, surprise, and simplicity to deliver complex ideas clearly.
The grant was open to any 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Winners were decided on a basis of mission, need, and strength of application.
