Neighborhood Centers' Gulfton Promise Project was one of 21 awards selected by DOE from more than 300 applicants nationwide, "to create plans to provide cradle-to-career services that improve the educational achievement and healthy development of children" in our most distressed communities.
Specifically, nFocus will provide TraxSolutions, a system that ensures youth-related data is shared and analyzed on an ongoing basis by various community partners. Neighborhood Centers, which brings resources, education and connection to people throughout Houston, selected nFocus Software following a rigorous demonstration and proposal process.
Ann Hilbig, vice president of Programming Planning and Evaluation for Neighborhood Centers, said, "We chose nFocus because of its success in other communities. They will give our Promise Neighborhood project the capacity to link our data systems and track student progress over time."
Ananda Roberts, president of nFocus Software, "This is another opportunity to bring our solutions as part of a coordinated community response to address critical youth issues and demonstrate the need for continued federal funding."
In addition to the Gulfton Promise Project, nFocus is developing and delivering community-wide data management projects in multiple communities including Washington, D.C., Boston, Mass., Louisville, Ky., Northwest Indiana, Grand Rapids, Mich., and for the entire State of Hawaii.
