BOCA RATON, Fla., March 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Nick's Apizza (pronounced a-BEETS), conceptualized by Nick Laudano and partner Anthony Giovanniello, has retained the services of award-winning PR, marketing and brand strategists The Gab Group to promote their unique New Haven-style brick oven pizzeria, bar and lounge to Boca Raton and South Florida.
Opening May 2011 at Glades Plaza in Boca Raton, between Hooters and Five Guys, Nick's Apizza will combine the time-honored apizza of New Haven, Connecticut, with the swank of New York City. This 4,600-square foot pizzeria will offer guests a taste of inimitable New Haven-style apizza in a nostalgic atmosphere that pays homage to the era of the 1920s to the 1950s, when this unique style of thin-crust apizza was born.

Nick's Apizza features the area's only 18-inch pies, specially crafted in a hand-built brick oven. Known for their specialty White Clam Pie, made with freshly shucked Rhode Island littleneck clams, added offerings include Hummel hot dogs, East Haven-based Foxon Park sodas crafted in 1922, Libby's New Haven Italian ice, and homemade cheesecake.
Designed in part by Karen Hanlon and Nick Laudano, elements include a 1940s-inspired kitchen pantry, a floor pattern taken straight out of "The Godfather," and a one-of-a-kind ceiling wallpapered with authentic advertising from the 1920s and 1930s. A prominent focal point will be Nick's proprietary brick ovens, carefully hand-crafted by Nick himself over the course of six weeks. Nick's Apizza will seat 150 with indoor and outdoor dining, and features a to-go window and an indoor bar that flows to the patio.
