NineSigma's Chief Financial Officer, Bill Chorba, CPA, Earns Top Honors as CFO of the Year

CLEVELAND, Nov. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- NineSigma, a leading worldwide provider of innovation services, today announced that its Chief Financial Officer, Bill Chorba, CPA, has been named a CFO of the Year by Crain's Cleveland Business. The award honors CFOs in Northeast Ohio who have demonstrated outstanding fiscal leadership and asset management. Mr. Chorba earned top honors in the small private company category.

The publication noted his many recent achievements, including raising outside capital, identifying promising new markets for expansion, re-evaluating vendor relationships, and moving toward cloud computing to improve the speed and efficiency of IT systems. This year, for example, NineSigma received $2.5 million in debt financing from BlueCrest Capital Finance, L.P. In addition, the firm opened a new subsidiary in Australia, and announced partnerships with Nottingham Spirk, NewEdge, and Caliper to expand on its products and services.

Crain's Cleveland Business noted that Mr. Chorba's involvement extends well beyond finance to include everything from strategic planning to human resources. The publication lauded his natural leadership abilities, creative thinking, positive attitude, and open-book management style.

Mr. Chorba, who has held positions in accounting and corporate finance for more than 15 years, joined NineSigma as CFO in 2009. He is an Executive Board Member of the Ohio Society of CPAs. He graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College with a BA in business administration/accounting. In addition, he was a Trustee of the Pi Lambda Phi Educational Foundation, dedicated to grooming future leaders.
