NIRI San Diego to Host a Special Event with Facebook's Head of Investor Relations

SAN DIEGO, Feb. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The San Diego Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) will host a special event with Facebook's Head of IR, Deborah Crawford, in the evening of March 12, 2013.  The special event is being sponsored by NASDAQ OMX, the world's largest exchange company, and hosted at AMN Healthcare.  The program will feature a fireside chat with Deborah and Karen Fisher, Past President of the San Diego NIRI Board, discussing Deborah's IR experience at Facebook following one of the world's most sought-after Initial Public Offerings.  Specifically, the discussion is expected to cover the overall management of Facebook's visibility in the investment community, oversight of investor communications at one of the most visible and interesting companies in the world, and how Facebook maintains its critical relationships with investors and analysts. 

Deborah joined Facebook just after their IPO in May 2012 and is currently leading their investor relations efforts. Prior to joining Facebook, she led the investor relations team at Netflix for over eight years. Deborah is a graduate of UCSD earning a Masters of Pacific International Affairs from UCSD – School of International Relations and Pacific Studies.
