Nok Nok Labs Supports All FIDO Standards Through a Single Solution

PALO ALTO, Calif., March 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Nok Nok Labs, an innovator in modern authentication and a founding member of the FIDO Alliance, today announced the launch and availability of a new Premium Edition of its Nok Nok™ S3 Authentication Suite (S3 Suite), the first unified platform that enables organizations to leverage standards-based authentication, supporting existing and emerging methods of biometric authentication such as fingerprint, iris and voice.

Nok Nok Labs, the inventor of FIDO UAF standards and other implementation innovations, designed the FIDO protocol to be a dynamic architecture that could adapt to the anticipated evolution of modern security and customer needs.  With the delivery of this new release, Nok Nok Labs becomes the first software vendor to support the next-generation of FIDO capability.

This newest version of the NNL S3 Suite will include a next-generation FIDO Server, which enables organizations to maximize their secure authentication posture with both FIDO UAF and U2F capabilities for all of their users.  With FIDO UAF, users have strong multifactor authentication support, while at the same time with FIDO U2F, users are able to strengthen password-based authentication with a strong second-factor challenge.  And Nok Nok Labs will continue its leadership and innovation, supporting FIDO2 in its technology in the coming months.

With support for the U2F protocol, customers can now use the NNL S3 Suite to expand the proven benefits of FIDO technology to pluggable, built-in tokens as second factors to strengthen password based authentication.

There is an increasing demand in the market for FIDO-based authentication for both desktop and mobile logins as seen by Facebook's recent announcement to enable the FIDO U2F protocol for its 1.7 billion users.
