Nomad Editions Launches Social Media Magazine u+me; Becomes Fifth Magazine in Diverse Roster of Digital Publications

NEW YORK, Feb. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Nomad Editions, a new media company producing first-of-their-kind digital publications designed for mobile devices such as the iPhone, iPad and other platforms, is pleased to announce u+me, the newest addition to its roster of weekly digital magazines. u+me focuses on the stories behind social media—how we shape them and how they shape us. Launched on February 11, u+me joins four current Nomad Editions publications, including Real Eats, Wide Screen, Wave Lines and BodySmart.

In the inaugural issue, Anthony De Rosa—co-founder of Neighborhoodr.com and declared by the New York Times as the "undisputed King of Tumblr"— explores the relevance of social media during revolution in his piece "Tweet like an Egyptian." Also in the issue, u+me Editor Chris Kaye reports on a Muppet-themed marriage proposal video that travelled rapidly through the blogosphere.

As a multi-media digital magazine, u+me delivers content about diverse platforms, including video-sharing websites such as YouTube, Vimeo and others.
