Nominations Announced for the 2017 Metropolitan Fashion Awards Recognizing Outstanding Achievements in Fashion and Costume Design in Motion Pictures, Television and Live Performance

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Sept. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Nominations for the 2017 METROPOLITAN FASHION AWARDS honoring outstanding achievements in fashion and costume design in motion picture, television, and live performance were announced today by Metropolitan Fashion Week Founder Eduardo Khawam. The winners will be revealed during the 5^th Annual Metropolitan Fashion Week Closing Gala and Fashion Awards to be held Thursday, October 5^th at Warner Bros. Studios. 

Winners in each category will be voted on by the Metropolitan Fashion Awards Committee and the general public will have an opportunity to vote for the People's Choice Award. To share the People's Choice ballot and to vote click here.

In addition to the awards, guests will enjoy a one-of-a-kind fashion show featuring haute couture gowns and costumes inspired by artwork from the J. Paul Getty Museum and created by national and international celebrity costume and fashion designers. The show is produced and directed by Eduardo Khawam, fashion expert, producer and TV personality for Telemundo, Univisión and the CW.

All school supply's collected between Metropolitan Fashion Week Opening Runway Show - Costume Contest & our Metropolitan Fashion Week Closing Gala & Fashion Awards show on October 5, 2017 will be donated to SCHOOLS affected by the recent hurricanes.
