North Carolina Virtual Academy Celebrates First Kindergarten Class

DURHAM, N.C., May 25, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- North Carolina Virtual Academy (NCVA), a full-time, online public charter school authorized by the North Carolina State Board of Education, honored its 2016 Kindergarteners at two recognition ceremonies on Tuesday, May 24. One was held at Reed Creek Park in Charlotte and the other at Pullen Park in Raleigh. Kindergarten students will advance to the next grade level after completing the 2015-2016 school year at NCVA, which is an education option available to K–11th grade students who reside anywhere in North Carolina.

In addition to celebrating the kindergarten graduates, NCVA also marked its first full year of operation. With more than 700 lessons per subject available in the K–8 course offerings, students can dive deeply into areas of interest – which is especially beneficial for advanced learners seeking to move more quickly than they would be able to in a traditional classroom.
