SAN DIEGO, Sept. 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- North Island Credit Union (North Island) recently held the official opening of its 10th full-service San Diego branch in the newly renovated historic Mister A's building at 5th & Laurel.
North Island President and CEO Steve O'Connell was joined by Chris Ward, chief of staff to Senator Marty Block, representing the communities of San Diego's Third City Council District, and Jerry Sanders, president/CEO of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, in the official ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event kicked off a week-long grand opening celebration with daily member raffles, prizes and giveaways, a Grand Prize drawing, free refreshments, and other community events.
"We're excited to respond to member requests to open our newest branch in one of San Diego's most dynamic areas," said O'Connell. We invite members to visit our newest San Diego location as we continue to work to provide an extraordinary banking experience."
North Island's new branch provides a contemporary member experience that complements the mid-century modern style of one of San Diego's most recognizable landmarks. Its open floor plan features the latest interactive tablet services for members who prefer self-service technology, along with a full-service staff, member hospitality lounge, free WiFi, and easy parking and walking access in San Diego's most exciting revitalized urban area.
