Notable Patent Litigation Attorney Louis Fogel Joins Jenner & Block

WASHINGTON, April 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Jenner & Block LLP today announces that well-respected patent litigation attorney Louis E. Fogel has joined the firm as a partner in our Chicago office.  He is a member of the firm's Patent Litigation & Counseling Practice.

Louis counsels clients in all aspects of patent litigation to help businesses achieve their strategic and scientific goals.  He has substantial experience in sophisticated patent litigation matters affecting a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, biological drugs, medical devices, chemicals and consumer electronics.  Before earning his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, Louis completed a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Chicago.

With more than 10 years of trial experience gained while at Ropes & Gray LLP and Sidley Austin LLP, he has been involved in all phases of complex patent litigation from pre-trial investigation and strategy development through appeal.  He has significant experience advising clients regarding Hatch-Waxman Act litigation.  He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
