LAS VEGAS, Oct. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Novum Pharmaceutical Research Services, a leading U.S. clinical research company, has completed significant upgrades to its Las Vegas, Nevada clinical facility, which it has operated since 2004. Novum has refurbished study clinics, screening areas, and outpatient returns at its 34,000 square foot Pecos McLeod facility, and added a new administrative wing adjacent to the clinic, formerly the Talmer Bank and Trust building.
"Novum's early phase research business has greatly diversified over the last several years in terms of study types and activities, as we evolve to serve a dynamic pharmaceutical industry," said Christopher H. Chamberlain, Novum's President and CEO. "The upgrades to our Las Vegas site align it with the increasingly complex scope of our early phase work, and provide a more comfortable and convenient experience for our study participants," he added.
Since opening in Las Vegas in 2004, Novum has conducted thousands of clinical research studies and paid over $20 million dollars to area residents for participating in clinical trials. Novum, with headquarters in Pittsburgh PA, employs over 100 Las Vegas staff members.
"We modernized our facilities to provide state-of-the-art services to our clients and study volunteers, but it's also a sign of our deep commitment to being a part of the Las Vegas community," said Dr. Darin Brimhall, Vice President of Clinic Operations. Dr. Brimhall is based in Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas clinic expansion follows an expansion of Novum's Houston, TX facility in 2013, and its acquisition of a clinic unit in Fargo, ND the same year.
