NSFOCUS Welcomes New COO to Expand U.S. and International Presence

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- NSFOCUS announced today that Allan Thompson has been appointed as its chief operating officer for international business. In his role at NSFOCUS, Thompson will be responsible for launching new products and growing the company's business outside of China including North America, EMEA, Japan and APAC. His global leadership and knowledge of enterprise sales, business development, marketing and support services will allow NSFOCUS to reach international dominance in providing cloud, hybrid cloud and on-premise network security solutions. He will report directly to chief executive officer, Jiye Shen.

• Leader in security technologies: Thompson brings enterprise security executive experience to the role, including 18 years working with leading security technology corporations. His field of experience covers anti-virus, intrusion prevention, data loss prevention, endpoint security, database security, network security analytics and network asset protection.
• Deep understanding of global marketplace: Prior to NSFOCUS, Thompson was an instrumental executive in the pre- and post-IPO of Trend Micro and the acquisitions of IPS and DLP enterprise solutions from McAfee, now Intel Security. Allan understands the global marketplace and the go-to-market strategy to sell security technologies in those regions.
