NSU Resources, Inc. Announces Discussions With Various Parties For Research And Development Joint Ventures

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ontario, Aug. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- NSU Resources, Inc. (OTCQB: NOST) reported today the company is actively marketing its Rare Earth Element extraction and purification technology for the purpose of generating revenues from joint venture agreements.

President and CEO, Dr. Luc C Duchesne stated, "It is becoming increasingly evident that traditional approaches for the purification of rare earths will not be the most cost-effective solutions in the marketplace.  This is especially true if the cost of energy continues to rise.  Therefore there is a need to rethink purification processes to reduce operating and capital costs. Other companies currently engaged in the mining of rare earths or in the late stage development of rare earth deposits would benefit in the short term for using our extraction and purification technology."

Further the company announced it has entered into preliminary discussions with third parties to establish joint research ventures to determine how the company's technology can be modified to specific mineralogy. For this, the company plans to conduct site-specific joint research to fine-tune its extraction and purification technologies to address the specific profile of each rare earth deposit.   The Company has made approaches to late stage exploration and mining companies to initiate discussions for joint undertakings that will permit the development of site-specific extraction and purification methodologies.  In practice, these may become the object of individual patent applications owned jointly by the joint ventures.
