NTT Communications Launches DRaaS Solution in Europe

Offering the European market a customized, market-leading DRaaS solution

NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), the ICT solutions and international communications business within NTT (NYSE: NTT), announced today the immediate launch of its Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) solution across Europe, in partnership with industry-leading DRaaS platform provider Geminare. This managed cloud service helps organizations adapt and evolve their disaster recovery programs to a secure NTT Com Enterprise Cloud platform.

NTT Com's Recovery as a Service (RaaS) solution has been available in the United States since 2012. Earlier this year Gartner, in considering this RaaS solution, named NTT Com a Leader in Gartner's 2015 Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) Magic Quadrant. The report cited high functionality, differentiated usability, unlimited failover and recovery testing at no additional cost, amongst factors recommending the solution. Gartner expects that by 2018, the number of organizations using disaster recovery as a service will exceed the number of organizations using traditional, syndicated recovery services.

NTT Com offers its DRaaS solution from four secure Enterprise Cloud locations in Europe and 14 worldwide, that customers can choose from to place their recovery environments, assisting in their data localization requirements when needed. If customers wish to move their primary infrastructure to an NTT Com data center for operational ease, they can choose from over 130 secure data centers worldwide.

Launch Promotion 

NTT Com is offering a launch trial for customers that qualify, allowing them the ability to quickly become disaster recovery enabled. These customers can test the DRaaS solution with systems from their primary infrastructure to assess if it fits their requirements at reduced or no cost.

Customers will be selected based on their requirements, with preference given to existing NTT Com customers and prospects.
