"I was blessed with a very successful corporate career. I wanted to find a way to use my business acumen and heart to make a difference each day," says CEO Jess Nepstad.
The NDJC partnership presents an opportunity for BFDR to meet urgent fundraising needs. BFDR announced June 2 they cannot take in new dogs due to rising regulatory costs and a recent drop in donations. The nonprofit will continue to care for over 400 dogs during this freeze. BFDR's fundraising partnership with NDJC will run from June 15 to June 30 during National Pet Adoption month.
In addition to supporting BFDR, NDJC partners with other organizations including Boys and Girls Club of Moorpark and Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit serving veterans and military families. NDJC gives each nonprofit a unique URL where supporters can purchase fine jewelry. (i.e.: bigfluffylove.nudayjewelry.com). The custom URLs enable NDJC to track sales specific to each cause or organization.
NDJC's business model taps into modern consumer habits, lowering operating costs and attracting more customers so the company can give more back:
- Online Storefront: Operating online eliminates unnecessary costs so NDJC can offer lower prices while emphasizing fun, ease and great customer service.
- Social Media Marketing: Social media and word-of-mouth replaces expensive TV commercials or online advertising, allowing NDJC to donate more and offer lower prices to socially-conscious customers.
- Custom Design: NDJC's custom design service lets buyers design their own engagement rings or fashion pieces. Boutique jewelry designers are adding exclusive offerings just for nu day's customers.
