Mr. Camper is a health physicist, radiation safety expert, environmental remediation expert and executive with more than 40 years of professional experience in both the private and public sectors of the nuclear industry. He retired in 2015 as Director of the Division of Decommissioning, Uranium Recovery and Waste Program of US Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

In addition to Mr. Camper's seat on the SECUR board, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Waste Management Symposia, where he also is a member of the Program Advisory Committee. He was elected a Fellow of the Waste Management Symposia in recognition of his long-standing service to the organization. He received the 2016 Sarge Ozker Award presented by the Nuclear Engineering Division-Radwaste Systems Operating Committee of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the 2010 Richard S. Hodes, MD Honor Lecture Award presented by the Southeast Compact Commission.
