Numerex Teams with its M2M Customers to Win Gold Value Chain Awards

ATLANTA, June 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Numerex Corp (Nasdaq: NMRX), a leading single source provider of secure machine-to-machine (M2M) products and services, announced it is a member of two gold Value Chain Award winning teams recognized during the recent Connected World Conference sponsored by Connected World magazine, which is the magazine for upwardly mobile individuals interested in connectivity trends and the mobile lifestyle.

EDC Technologies, which provides remote control combined with proactive monitoring of day-to-day usage with a focus on system anomalies and performance irregularities, partnered with Numerex and ClearConnex to provide a cost effective method of compiling energy usage data from various locations in order to optimize the amount of energy used in very large hot water systems. The end-result puts a flexible and robust platform, which generates actionable data, at the disposal of the customer.

The second award was won in the Supply Chain and Logistics category. Numerex teamed with iGPS Company, operator of the world's largest pallet rental service providing plastic pallets with embedded RFID tags,  and Enfora, Inc. a Novatel Wireless company, to provide global monitoring of pallets  using the Numerex WorldPass global network service and Enfora's Spider AT asset tag. Numerex designed a custom offering, specific to iGPS's business, that enabled iGPS to increase visibility into its supply chain around the world.
