Patent holder of Zeaxanthin announces new President, Director of Marketing

ST. LOUIS, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- ZeaVision, LLC announced two internal promotions as the company expands operations serving EyeCare Professionals and consumers with its leading EyePromise® nutraceutical products featuring Zeaxanthin.

Chris Barber has been promoted to President effective immediately from his previous role of Vice President Sales and Marketing. His promotion also includes appointment to the ZeaVision Executive Board. Founder, Chairman, and Chief Science Officer Dennis Gierhart, PhD adds, "Chris exemplifies ZeaVision's corporate values and brings enthusiasm, expertise, and extensive business experience to ZeaVision."

Prior to joining ZeaVision, Barber worked as a commercial leader for GE Healthcare and legacy companies for 27 years. Barber received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Central AR and executive training at The University of Chicago, University of Michigan, and the GE Executive development center.

ZeaVision also announced that Betsy Ley has been promoted to Director of Marketing and Customer Service effective immediately. Ley has managed ZeaVision Customer Service since joining the company in 2005, and has more than 25 years of experience in a variety of roles at Com-Link21, LDDS, MCI WorldCom, Maritz Inc., and CallForceOne Consulting Group. Gierhart commented, "Betsy understands the needs of our customers extremely well and we're excited to expand her responsibilities within the ZeaVision business."
