ST. LOUIS, March 4, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- NWI Enterprises, Inc. ("NW Enterprises"), a Harbour Group company, has acquired RailFX, LLC. ("RailFX"), Jeff Fox, Harbour Group's chairman and chief executive, announced today. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
RailFX manufactures branded specialty aluminum railing systems, selling through the lumber and building materials channel. The company's railings incorporate NW Enterprises' Ultra-Tec brand cable railing infill, made by a subsidiary of NW Enterprises called Nationwide Industries. These railings combine the durability of aluminum with innovative design details that can be adapted to any interior or exterior project for both commercial and residential use. RailFX's headquarters are in Tacoma, Wash.
Mr. Fox commented, "The addition of RailFX extends our strength in cable railing infill to a complete railing offering for designers, contractors and property owners. We are enthusiastic about the opportunities that lie ahead for the combined business."
"Ultra-Tec has a sterling reputation in the market generally and among its customers," said John Moss, founder of RailFX. "We believe our high-quality product offering and attention to customer service will be a great complement to Nationwide's continued expansion efforts, specifically in the lumber and building materials channel. I am excited about the opportunity and look forward to helping create the next phase of growth."
"We are thrilled by the combination of RailFX and Ultra-Tec," said Christopher Kliefoth, CEO and President of Nationwide Industries. "In partnership with Harbour Group's operational resources and with the addition of John Moss, we look forward to providing an enhanced single-vendor, RailFX-branded solution to the Lumber and Building Materials (LBM) distribution channel with an expanded product offering. RailFX's durable and beautiful railing line, combined with its 'easy to do business with' business model, is the perfect opportunity for us to further meet our customers' needs."
