NYC & Company reports: "The next round of development will add over 6,600 new rooms plus hundreds of renovated rooms back into inventory bringing the total of rooms in active inventory to more than 100,000 by the end of 2014... This is an unparalleled pace of development for a major city or established destination."
New York clocked a record 50 million visitors last year, defying the economic downturn, and NYC & Company estimates the visitor numbers will continue to rise, reaching over 55 million visitors in 2015.
