Nystrom & Associates Acquires Ellie Mental Health Minnesota

NEW BRIGHTON, Minn., Aug. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Nystrom & Associates, a leading provider of behavioral health services, acquired the Minnesota-based operations of Ellie Mental Health, creating one of the largest behavioral health networks in the region.

The combined organization operates 84 locations across five states, including Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, Missouri, and Wisconsin.

The new organization will continue operations at all current locations and will come together under a new brand to be announced later this year.

With approximately 1,600 clinicians, the new company provides 1.4 million patient appointments annually. Services include therapy, psychiatry, substance use treatment, and many specialized and innovative programs for individuals, couples, and families. Each organization brings unique services to the combination, with opportunities to expand specialized programs like intensive outpatient treatment and adult day treatment to new communities.

The combination came about when Ellie Mental Health made a strategic decision to focus on growing their national franchise network and sought a buyer for their 23-location Minnesota-based operations. Ellie Mental Health Minnesota has built a strong reputation as a leader in mental health services since 2015, primarily offering therapy and psychiatry services, including specialized treatments like TMS and Ketamine.
