Crowdfunding Launch Raises Awareness of Multi-Function E Ink Display Case for the iPhone 7 Plus
SINGAPORE, June 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Oaxis, a leading consumer technology company with 29 iF product design awards, today announced the official launch of its crowdfunding campaign for the brand's latest iteration of the E Ink iPhone case, the InkCase i7 Plus for the iPhone 7 Plus. Already in production, the company aspires to raise $20,000 on Kickstarter to enable early adopters to support and receive the newest case before it's officially available for retail purchase.
Following the success of the InkCase i6 and Inkcase i7, Oaxis has enhanced the design of the InkCase i7 Plus to provide the ultimate user experience. Featuring a 5.2" E Ink display, a 40% increase in size from the previous version of the case, the InkCase i7 Plus eliminates the need for a second device. Touting a Carta 1.2 E Ink panel, the InkCase i7 Plus' 213dpi at 540 x 960 resolution makes reading on the go easy and enjoyable, without draining the iPhone's battery.
Equipped with anti-glare properties and a 9H scratch resistance, the InkCase i7 Plus enables customization for widget selection. The case also incorporates a self-learning algorithm to display news articles curated based on each individual user's interest as indicated by their previous reading habits. This function also eliminates all advertisements and distractions often associated with online reading. The InkCase i7 Plus also features functionalities including a Live information Center with push notifications, task lists creation, real-time selfie assistance with iPhone 7 Plus' 12 megapixel, rear-facing camera as well as the ability to track physical activities.
The InkCase i7 Plus adds only 4mm of thickness to an iPhone and is completely waterproof, serving as a light, durable, and protective solution. The case also allows users to fully customize their display wallpaper as well as edit photos via the InkCase iOS application and Bluetooth technology.
The InkCase i7 Plus will be available in black on Kickstarter for $159, and is slated to begin shipping to backers in July/August. The campaign will offer a multi-pronged reward program:
- By pledging $50, backers will receive the InkCase i7 IVY as well as a $50 cash voucher valid towards the purchase of an additional InkCase i7, InkCase i7 Plus, or the next iteration of the InkCase, meant to accommodate the latest iPhone version.
- Backers will have the opportunity to exchange their InkCase i7 Plus for 50% off the next InkCase iteration, once available.
