Ogilvy & Mather promotes Gerry Human to Global Executive Creative Director, Global Brand Management

NEW YORK, Feb. 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Tham Khai Meng, Worldwide Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy & Mather (O&M) announced today the promotion of Gerry Human from Chief Creative Officer, O&M Advertising London to Global Executive Creative Director, Global Brand Management.

This new role expands Mr. Human's creative responsibilities to a global and cross-discipline scope. He will continue to be based in the London office and will report directly to Mr. Tham while working closely with Jaime Prieto, President of the Ogilvy & Mather Global Brand Management (GBM).

The GBM is Ogilvy & Mather's global organization responsible for the health and growth of the agency's largest multinational clients.

In addition to his new remit of elevating the work across targeted GBM brands, Mr. Human will continue as creative lead on his UK clients: Philips, Expedia and Kronenbourg 1664. He will continue to serve on the O&M Worldwide Creative Council and O&M UK Board.

Mr. Human joined O&M in 2003 when the ad agency he co-founded, HarrisonHuman, was acquired by O&M South Africa. With the acquisition, Mr. Human became ECD of O&M Johannesburg, where he led the agency to win Agency of the Year several times during his tenure. In 2009 he relocated to O&M London to take on creative leadership of the office's Unilever business. Two years later, he was named Executive Creative Director of O&M Advertising London. He was instrumental in the agency winning the Philips, as well as Kronenbourg 1664 and Pizza Hut accounts. The period since he was named ECD of O&M Advertising London is the most awarded in O&M London's 65-year history.
