Ohio Lawyer Recognized by Cleveland-Marshall College of Law

CLEVELAND, May 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Cleveland-Marshall Law Alumni Association has named James Lowe, an Ohio lawyer from Lowe Eklund Wakefield & Mulvihill Co., LPA, as an outstanding alumnus for 2012. Lowe was honored along with Maureen O'Connor, Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court, at a luncheon held at the Grand Ballroom at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel on May 24, 2012. Known throughout Ohio as the largest annual legal recognition and awards ceremony, this year's luncheon event was attended by about 1,000 attorneys, dignitaries and their guests.

Each year, the Cleveland-Marshall Law Alumni Association recognizes two outstanding alumni at its gala event. The process of selecting the honorees involves a meticulous screening process of over 11,000 alumni members, as well as a review of recommendations received throughout the year from judges and members of the legal community. Candidates are judged based on a number of factors, including their involvement and support of both the Law Alumni Association and the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, as well as their support of the local community.

Lowe was chosen for his extensive work as a lifetime member of the Law Alumni Association, as well as his financial contributions to support student scholarship programs. Over the years, Lowe and his law firm have been exceptional supporters of the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law's Mock Trial Courtroom and the Wolstein Scholarship Fund. Lowe also shows support for the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law by hiring alumni members at his firm. Lowe has been board certified as a civil trial lawyer for more than 20 years, and is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Society of Barristers.
