Old Mutual Asset Management Appoints Olivier Lebleu as Head of Non-U.S. Distribution

BOSTON, March 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Old Mutual Asset Management (OMAM), the U.S.-based global asset management business of Old Mutual plc, announced today it has appointed Olivier Lebleu as Head of non-U.S. Distribution, Old Mutual Asset Management International, reporting to Julian Ide, Head of OMAM Global Distribution. 

Mr. Lebleu will join Mr. Ide in furthering OMAM's efforts to build core distribution competencies in non-U.S. markets where the firm can meaningfully contribute to its affiliates' global expansion efforts. OMAM believes its multi-boutique capabilities, matched with its strong performance in high demand asset classes, position it to take an active role in growing business outside the U.S.

Mr. Lebleu's hiring continues the steady growth of OMAM's global distribution network.  With key positions in global distribution in place, the company will also seek to add resources to the U.S. with additional hires soon to be announced in Consultant Relations and Defined Contribution.  These roles will report to Brian Carroll, Head of U.S. Distribution.

Prior to joining OMAM, Mr. Lebleu was a partner and a member of the investment advisory committee at Stenham (Montier & Partners). From 2005 to 2008, he was Managing Director, Head of Distribution at MFS Investment Management, a Boston and London-based asset management firm.

Mr. Lebleu holds a BA in Political Science from Haverford College and a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University.  He is a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of the UK and is fluent in French and Spanish.
