Omega Communities To Develop $45 Million Continuing Care Community in Stockbridge, Georgia

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Feb. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Omega Communities, one of the nation's leaders in upscale continuing care settings, is thrilled to announce plans for its latest development in Stockbridge, Georgia. The $45 million community will be called Lake Vista at Eagle's Landing and will feature more than 150 units for independent living, assisted living, and memory care.

Construction on the $45 million project is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of this year on 10 acres at the corner of Highway 42 North and Brannan Road. This location next door to Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church is perfect for Omega Communities' successful model. Omega offers superior service and care at locations adjacent to community-impacting churches with which it can partner in affinity relationships for encouragement and support of its communities' residents.

Omega's latest continuing care community is part of a grander plan for Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church to construct a ministry village on its remaining 55 acres along Highway 42 North. Preliminary plans for the ministry village will include new construction for the Pregnancy Resource Center of Henry County, Eagle's Landing Christian Counseling Center, and Uniting Hope for Children, a foster and adoption ministry.

The Stockbridge development is one of four Omega communities planned in 2016. The others are in Fort Myers, Jacksonville, and Lady Lake, Florida. Omega recently opened stellar Continuing Care communities in Sarasota and North Port, Florida. The company partners with Greenbrier Development, Greenbrier Senior Living, and three: living architecture to provide the highest level of care in the industry. The Stockbridge project should be completed in 12 to 14 months after construction begins in fall of this year, Taylor says. His goal is to conduct its grand opening by Christmas 2017.

Upscale amenities will include appointed suites and a courtyard, pool, library, beauty salon, exercise room, banquet hall, exploration room, nature trail, and a three-acre lake formed from a natural spring.

The Omega project's impact on Henry County will be immediate and profound as it creates more than 200 construction jobs. Once operational, the community will have more than 100 employees and an annual payroll between $2.5 million and $3 million.

"The unique nature of our business model on one hand is that, through our partners at Greenbrier Senior Living and Greenbrier Development, we will provide the highest level of care to be provided in the community for our residents," Taylor says.
