Omni Hits Home Run With Texas Triple Play

IRVING, Texas, May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- In Texas, summers are all about fun in the sun, weekend getaways, and of course, baseball and BBQ!  This Memorial Day weekend, Omni Hotels & Resorts will launch the Texas Triple Play, celebrating America's favorite pastime at all ten Omni Texas properties across the state.

Omni's Texas chefs have created a special menu featuring local favorites from across Texas, including Lead Offs (appetizers) such as Country Fried Texas Quail with Pickled Corn Relish and Smoked Texas Sausage.  Bull Pen entrees include several delicious BBQ-flavored dishes as well as Smoked Dr Pepper Braised Beef Brisket with Green Tomato Chow Chow and Shiner Bock BBQ Sauce.  After lunch or dinner, guests can hit the Sweet Spot portion of the menu with classic desserts such as Old Fashioned Apple Pie with a Flaky Homemade Crust and Blueberry or Peach Cobbler.  

Cocktails also take a decidedly Texas turn, using Texas-distilled premium liqueurs such as Paula's Texas Orange Liqueur, Tito's Vodka and Treaty Oak Platinum Rum to create truly quenching Margaritas, Mojitos, Old Fashions and more with a real Texas twist.  Diners can enjoy local, Texas-brewed beers, including Shiner and Rahr along with Texas wines specially selected to compliment the menu, including Becker, Llano Estacado and Fall Creek wineries.
