Omni New York, and River Park Residences Is Proud of Its Commitment to its Tenants and the City

NEW YORK, Jan. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Omni New York LLC, the owners of River Park Residences in the Bronx, is proud of the facilities it has developed, rehabilitated, manages and owns, and it never discriminates against tenants because of need and public assistance.  It is a fact that Omni opens its apartment doors to families and individuals in need, with about 90% of its tenants being on a form of rental housing subsidy.  Omni New York in general, and River Park Residences, are landlords who have built their business on helping people live in affordable, safe, well managed housing.

Ronn Torossian, as spokesperson for Omni New York LLC, said, "Omni New York LLC currently has approximately 4,800 tenants in their NYC properties who receive some variation of Section 8 subsidy.  In addition, 83 tenants receive Living in Communities (LINC) Rent Program assistance, and Omni is currently in the process of adding 18 more tenants who will be receiving assistance through LINC.  River Park Residences alone has 1,186 tenants that receive some form of Section 8 Subsidy, and an additional 40 LINC tenants."

Torossian continued, "As a whole, Omni, carries an entire portfolio of tenants who make less than 60% of the AMI (area median income), with 90% of them being on some variation of rental housing assistance, Section 8 and LINC included."

In the New York City area alone, Omni currently owns and manages 6,204 units.  Of that figure 4,801 are units that receive some form of Federal Section 8 assistance.  Of the remaining 1,403 units in its NYC portfolio, approximately 700 tenants receive some other form of rental housing subsidy (including LINC).

On December 22, 2016, Omni opened its newly constructed Morris Avenue Apartments, a 176-unit building in the Bronx; the first tenants to move into the building were 16 previously homeless veterans. Omni worked closely with various New York City agencies to ensure these tenants had homes in time for the holidays. All of these tenants receive some version of a rental subsidy, including Section 8 and LINC.
