Omnicom Agencies Take Top Honors at Singapore Advertising Hall of Fame Awards

SINGAPORE, Dec. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Omnicom Group (NYSE: OMC) agencies continued their winning streak at this week's Singapore Advertising Hall of Fame Awards. DDB Group Singapore was named Advertising Agency of the Year for the third consecutive year, while OMD Singapore was awarded Media Agency of the Year for the fifth year running.

The results, which were announced at the gala event on Tuesday evening, also saw David Tang, president and CEO of DDB Group Singapore, receive the Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding contributions to the agency and the Singapore advertising industry. He was credited with leading the effectiveness drive for the industry with the Effie Singapore Awards.

In addition to the company awards, three staff members from DDB Group picked up top individual honors. Thomas Yang was awarded the coveted Creative Director of the Year recognition, Wendy Ong was named Strategic Planner of the Year and Sim Yunying was chosen Young Professional of the Year.

DDB also saw its client the Singapore Health Promotion Board (HPB) clinch Brand of the Year. The agency's campaigns for StarHub and the Breast Cancer Foundation also won the Campaign of the Year and Print Campaign of the Year awards, respectively.

The Singapore Advertising Hall of Fame Awards is a prestigious annual award ceremony organized by the Institute of Advertising Singapore to which recognizes the excellence and outstanding achievements of the Singapore advertising industry.
