OnApp Releases Fully Customizable Self-Service Portal for VMware vCloud Director

OnApp has released a new version of its cloud management portal for VMware vCloud Director. Based on OnApp v4.2, also launched today, the new OnApp portal brings fully customizable self-service to vCloud Director, enhanced metering, monitoring and billing, and a range of other new features that help service providers build more robust and intuitive cloud offerings on the VMware vCloud Director platform.

The new OnApp portal enables self-service for vCloud Director in a uniquely flexible way. Using the OnApp portal, cloud users can order and provision their own virtual datacenters (VDCs) based on any number of templates configured by their cloud provider. Each template can be set up with default resources and limits for cloud resources and whatever level of customization the provider wishes to offer. This greatly simplifies cloud management and provisioning for the provider and its clients.
