
One Family's Cherished Recipe Will Earn Them $20,000 to Host a Dream Family Reunion
Five Finalists Head to Judging Event at The J.M. Smucker Company Headquarters in the Third Annual Spreading Smucker's® Traditions Recipe and Essay Contest
ORRVILLE, Ohio, Feb. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, The J.M. Smucker Company, maker of Smucker's® jams, jellies, preserves and fruit butter is pleased to announce the top five finalists in the third annual "Spreading Smucker's Traditions Recipe and Essay Contest." Five finalists will be invited to a recipe judging event in April, 2011, where the grand prize winner will take home $20,000 and receive event planning help to organize an unforgettable gathering to bring loved ones together for more memorable meals and moments.
Last fall, Smucker's asked consumers to share an original family recipe incorporating jams, jellies, preserves or fruit butter that has been passed down for at least two generations. At-home cooks from all over the country submitted their favorite family recipes, the stories behind them and how they make family celebrations special.
