Optical Cable Corporation Declares Quarterly Dividend

ROANOKE, Va., April 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Optical Cable Corporation (Nasdaq GM: OCC) ("OCC^®" or the "Company") today announced the declaration of a regular quarterly cash dividend to OCC's shareholders.

OCC's Board of Directors declared a cash dividend of $0.02 per share on the Company's common stock effective April 15, 2013.  The dividend will be paid on or about May 15, 2013, to shareholders of record on April 29, 2013. 

The dividend announced today implies an annual cash dividend of $0.08 per common share.

This dividend is the second quarterly dividend OCC's Board of Directors has declared during fiscal year 2013, after the first quarterly dividend, which would normally have been declared in January 2013, was declared and paid in December 2012.

It is anticipated that OCC's next quarterly dividend will be declared in July 2013, consistent with OCC's normal quarterly dividend declaration schedule.
