Optimal Radiology to Enhance Operations with McKesson RMS

ATLANTA, Oct. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Optimal Radiology, a provider of professional radiology solutions to hospitals, plans to consolidate its billing operations with McKesson Revenue Management Solutions (RMS). The Homewood, Alabama-based organization previously relied on two outsourced vendors to meet billing requirements for 77 physicians working at 14 hospitals in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas. Working with McKesson, Optimal expects to achieve more consistent and comprehensive business reporting that can be used to improve collections and drive better financial outcomes.

McKesson will provide Optimal's physicians with a full range of revenue management services, including coding, charge entry, claims submission and follow-up, denial management, ongoing documentation education, compliance safeguards, and business intelligence.
