Outdoor Channel Unveils Nominees For The 15th Annual Golden Moose Awards

DENVER, Jan. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Outdoor Channel today revealed the list of nominees for the 15^th Annual Golden Moose Awards (GMA). The country's premiere outdoor entertainment awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at The Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas during the National Shooting Sports Foundation's (NSSF) annual Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show) and Conference. The GMA serve as the hallmark event to honor the outstanding programming put forth by Outdoor Channel's talent and production teams in 2014.

The GMA will once again be emceed by Michael Waddell, host of Outdoor Channel's "Realtree Road Trips with Michael Waddell" and "Michael Waddell's Bone Collector." The event will include musical performances by Ted Nugent, star of the network's "Ted Nugent Spirit of the Wild"; Nate Hosie, co-host of Outdoor Channel's "HeadHunters TV"; and Kari & Billy, the country music duo behind the "Drury's THIRTEEN" theme. Nugent is expected to play "The Star-Spangled Banner," the national anthem of the United States. Nate Hosie and Kari & Billy will hit the GMA stage for the first time, engaging attendees with their latest tunes.

Among the Golden Moose Awards presenters are Sarah Palin, former Governor of Alaska and star of Sportsman Channel's "Amazing America with Sarah Palin"; Joe Mantegna of "MidwayUSA's Gun Stories"; Theresa Vail, a Sergeant in the Kansas Army National Guard, a 2013 Miss Kansas winner, an avid bowhunter and star of the upcoming Outdoor Channel series "Limitless with Theresa Vail"; Craig Morgan, country music star and host of Outdoor Channel's "Craig Morgan All Access Outdoors"; huntress Eva Shockey of "Jim Shockey's Hunting Adventures"; Mossy Oak founder and CEO Toxey Haas; and Realtree President and CEO Bill Jordan.

Additionally, Outdoor Channel will hand out a Lifetime Achievement Award to a surprise recipient for their unparalleled contributions to the outdoor industry.
