Ovation Announces 13 New Non-Profit Arts Organizations As Members Of Its Stand For The Arts Coalition

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Ovation, America's only Arts Network, has announced that 13 new non-profit arts and culture organizations have joined its Stand For The Arts Coalition to raise awareness, protect access, and encourage action on behalf of the arts and culture. Since the coalition was established in 2017, over 50 prominent arts organizations, arts education institutions and artists have lent their support.

Among the distinguished organizations that have recently joined the Stand For The Arts coalition are:

Artspace - Located in Raleigh, NC, Artspace is a visual arts center inspiring innovation through opportunities to experience the creative process and engage with artists. Artspace provides residencies and exhibitions for artists at all stages in their careers and educational programming for children and adults.

BAAD! Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance - The Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance creates, produces, presents, and supports the development of cutting edge and challenging works in contemporary dance and all creative disciplines which are empowering to women, Latinos and other people of color, and the LGBTQ community.

Boch Center - The Boch Center is a non-profit innovator and guardian of Boston's historic Wang and Shubert Theatres, providing arts, entertainment, cultural, and educational experiences to the Greater Boston community.

Bronx Council on the Arts -  A pioneering advocate for cultural equity, the Bronx Council on the Arts nurtures the development of a diverse array of artists and arts organizations, and builds strong cultural connections in and beyond The Bronx.

Brooklyn Arts Council - Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC) is the borough's leading nonprofit organization supporting artists and cultural groups in all disciplines, serving as a catalyst that helps Brooklyn's vibrant arts community grow and thrive.

Creative Action - Creative Action is the largest arts education organization in Central Texas, inspiring and educating youth through the transformative power of creative expression, social and emotional learning, and social justice education.

DreamYard - DreamYard collaborates with Bronx youth, families, and schools to build pathways to equity and opportunity through the arts.

Groundswell - Groundswell is a NYC-based organization that engages youth in creative processes at the intersection of arts education, youth development, and social justice to inspire community engagement and social change.

H+ I Hip Hop Dance Conservatory - Founded by Artistic Director Safi A. Thomas, H+ | The Hip-Hop Dance Conservatory is a multi-platformed, 28-year old NGO, with consultative status on ECOSOC at the UN since 2017, with the mission to build longevity and sustainability for the global dance community through its 6 pillars: Pedagogy, Repertory, Advocacy, Medical Research, Infrastructure, and Design. 

Long Island Arts Alliance – Long Island Arts Alliance (LIAA) is an alliance of and for the region's not-for-profit arts, cultural, and arts education organizations. LIAA promotes awareness of and participation in Long Island's world-class arts and cultural institutions.
