Over 400 Nurses, Students to Attend Nurses Day at the Statehouse

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Nurses Day at the Statehouse

Nurses and nursing students from across the state join together at this annual event at the Ohio Statehouse to discuss policy matters with fellow nurses and legislators.  The Atrium will be at maximum capacity, as the program themed 'Enter the Conversation, Change the World' is sold out once again.

The program features three keynote speakers, a panel discussion and lunch with legislators.   

Topics for the program include:

• House Bill 301 and its connection to the report from the Institute of Medicine
• National nursing/health trends
• Grassroots advocacy
• The Ohio Nurses Association's involvement in a national political pilot program
