Veteran semiconductor executive brings more than 25 years of global power-management and operating experience as Overlord strengthens its leadership for the next phase of growth.
SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Overlord Labs, Inc., a fabless semiconductor company building battery intelligence for the next generation of compute-intensive, battery-powered devices, today announced the appointment of Chris Allexandre, President and Chief Executive Officer of Navitas Semiconductor, to its Board of Directors.
Allexandre brings more than 25 years of global semiconductor leadership experience spanning power management, analog, mixed-signal and digital technologies. His career includes senior executive roles at Navitas Semiconductor, Renesas Electronics and Texas Instruments, with extensive experience scaling semiconductor businesses and leading global operations across the United States, Europe and Asia.
His appointment further strengthens Overlord's leadership as the company builds on significant milestones, including the successful bring-up of its first GENESIS™ silicon and the recent close of an oversubscribed Seed financing that brought total funding to $10 million.
"We've proven the technology. Now we're building the company that can scale it," said Carlos Rodriguez, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Overlord Labs. "Chris brings the operating experience, global perspective and semiconductor leadership that will be invaluable in the next phase of Overlord's growth. Building the right leadership around the company is just as important as building the right technology."
Overlord is developing the GENESIS™ Battery Intelligence IC Platform, a new approach to battery management built around the company's proprietary Silicon × Algorithm Architecture. By combining high-precision analog circuitry with embedded digital intelligence and advanced algorithms, GENESIS™ is designed to give device makers a more accurate, intelligent and adaptable way to understand and manage battery performance.
"Chris has spent his career building and leading semiconductor businesses at scale, particularly in markets where power and system performance are critical," said Richard Nicholson, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Overlord Labs. "His experience is directly relevant to what we're building at Overlord. As we execute the next phase of our strategy, his perspective will be incredibly valuable in helping us build a world-class semiconductor company."
The first GENESIS™ device is designed for single-cell battery systems, with initial applications including smart glasses, wearables, hearables and other edge AI devices where increasing compute requirements are placing greater demands on battery life, performance, safety and form factor.
"I've spent much of my career at the intersection of semiconductors, power and the systems they enable," said Chris Allexandre. "As more intelligence moves into increasingly power-constrained devices, battery management has to evolve with it. Overlord is taking a differentiated and disruptive approach by combining silicon and algorithms into a new battery intelligence architecture. I'm very excited to join the Board and work with Richard, Carlos and the broader team as they build the company and execute on that vision."
Allexandre currently serves as President, Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Navitas Semiconductor, a next-generation power semiconductor company focused on AI infrastructure with gallium nitride (GaN), silicon carbide (SiC) and integrated voltage regulator (IVR) technologies. He joined Navitas as President and CEO in September 2025, following several years of leadership at Renesas Electronics, where he successfully led the company's Power Division and Sales & Marketing Division.
Earlier in his career, Allexandre spent 16 years at Texas Instruments in business and sales leadership roles across Europe and Asia, ultimately serving as Vice President of Sales for EMEA. His career has spanned cloud infrastructure, industrial, automotive, mobile, consumer and telecommunications markets.
Allexandre joins an Overlord Board that includes David Heacock, former Senior Vice President at Texas Instruments and longtime analog and power semiconductor executive, and The Honorable Robert M. Speer, former Acting Secretary of the U.S. Army, further strengthening the semiconductor, operational and strategic leadership supporting the company's growth.
