LAKEWOOD, Colo., Nov. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Have a mystery spot on your carpet? Trying to find the culprit behind the coffee spill? Now's your chance to be a sleuth and solve the mystery. Oxi Fresh, the environmentally friendly carpet cleaning franchise, is pleased to announce their "Whodunit?" carpet stain contest – your chance to round up the usual suspects and discover the reason for that suspicious stain that's been causing you so much grief.

Just send in a picture of your dirty carpet along with the story of how it happened. Was it the electrician in the living room with dirt on his shoes? Or maybe it was your nine-year-old in the family room with some grape juice. Five finalists will be chosen by the voting Facebook public; the best story will win a carpet cleaning for the mysteriously dirty carpet.

"Put on your sleuthing hat and grab your magnifying glass; we want to know the who, what, when, where, and why of how that stain happened," said Oxi Fresh founder and CEO, Jonathan Barnett. "We've heard a lot of stories over the years (mainly from the stain makers), so the crazier and truer the story the better."

The contest began on November 1, 2011 and ends on November 22, 2011 at 11:59 PM PST. Public voting begins on November 23, 2011 at 12:00 AM PST and ends November 30, 2011 at 11:59 PM PST. The winner will be announced on December 5, 2011 at 12:00 PM PST.
