Paine & Partners Appoints David Delaney as Strategic Advisor
NEW YORK, Sept. 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Paine & Partners, LLC ("Paine & Partners"), a global private equity investment firm dedicated to investing in food and agribusiness, today announced that G. David Delaney, former EVP and Chief Operating Officer of Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan, Inc. ("PotashCorp") (NYSE: POT, TSX: POT.TO), is joining Paine & Partners as a strategic advisor to identify and execute attractive investment opportunities in the upstream segment of the food and agribusiness value chain.
Mr. Delaney brings 30 plus years of experience in the agribusiness and chemical industries, with expertise across the manufacturing, marketing and distribution of agricultural inputs and a track record of generating growth and transforming businesses. He will work closely with Paine & Partners to identify new investment opportunities in the sector and serve in a leadership role at acquired companies.

About David Delaney
From 2000 to 2016, Mr. Delaney held senior leadership positions at PotashCorp, the world's largest fertilizer company by capacity. Mr. Delaney was most recently the EVP and Chief Operating Officer of PotashCorp, where he oversaw operations across the company's business segments, spanning 16 different sites. Previously, Mr. Delaney served as the President of Sales for PotashCorp where he led the centralization of the global sales function. Prior to working at PotashCorp, Mr. Delaney held sales and product positions at Arcadian Corporation Ltd until it was acquired by PotashCorp in 1997.
Mr. Delaney has served on a number of boards of directors, including at Arab Potash Company where he also served as a member of the Developmental Committee and as a Director at Canopex Limited. He has also served as Chairman for Fluid Fertilization Association and Phosphate Chemicals Expert Association (PhosChem) and was a Director for the International Plant Nutrition Institute. Mr. Delaney serves on the Foundation Board for his alma mater, Southern Illinois University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1983.
