Panasonic To Sponsor Inaugural Spartan Kid's Race
Panasonic is the Official Camera and Official POV Action Cam of the US Reebok Spartan Race Series
NEWARK, N.J., Sept. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Panasonic, a global leader in digital imaging technology and the Official Camera of the Reebok Spartan Race Series, announced today that it will sponsor the first stand-alone Spartan Kid's Race which debuts this weekend at Mill River Park in Stamford, CT.
More than 2,000 children and their families are expected to participate during the two-day event. The Panasonic sponsorship also supports the development of the Special Spartans charity program where children with intellectual and developmental disorders are invited to participate in the race creating a culture of inclusion. All of the action will be captured on Panasonic's A-1 Wearable Action Camera and LUMIX line of digital cameras including the award-winning LUMIX GH-4 DSLR with 4K Video.
The Inaugural Spartan Kid's Race features two distances – a 2K Junior Varsity race for ages 5-8 and a 4K Varsity race for ages 9-13 – featuring 15-20 obstacles similar to those found in the adult Spartan Race events.
