Panasonic Eco Solutions North America has upgraded two of its ventilation fans: WhisperCeiling DC™ and WhisperSense DC™. Quiet, powerful and aesthetically pleasing, the advanced WhisperCeiling DC™ and WhisperSense DC™ precision spot ventilation fans provide greater flexibility to builders and contractors looking for a high-performing, easy-to-install fan that satisfies the latest building codes. Both lines now boast the acclaimed Pick-A-Flow™ speed selector that offers the ability to customize the ventilation fan for a variety of applications and to meet required airflow CFMs with just the flip of a switch.

With homeowner demand for energy efficient home technologies on the rise, WhisperCeiling DC™ and WhisperSense DC™ ventilation fans are suitable for incorporation into new construction, as well as remodeling projects. All models in the WhisperCeiling DC™ and WhisperSense DC™ lines include an ECM motor with Smart Flow™ technology that senses static pressure and automatically increases fan speed to ensure optimal CFM output, even with a complicated duct run. Integrated 4" or 6" dual duct adapters provide builders and contractors with greater installation options without having to worry about an additional adapter.  

Both ENERGY STAR^® certified ventilation lines improve indoor air quality (IAQ) by removing moist, polluted air from a home whether it's in a bathroom, laundry room or garage. An additional feature in the fight against mold and mildew can be found in the WhisperSense DC™ line where a built-in dual sensor (motion and moisture) technology provides an added layer of defense against moisture and odor – a convenient feature for installers concerned about CALGreen compliance.

The WhisperCeiling DC™ and WhisperSense DC™ both offer a number of additional built-in features that provide greater installation options and flexibility to help installers protect the structural integrity of a customer's home:

• Flex-Z Fast bracket allows for fast and trouble-free installation from above and below the ceiling
• UL listed for tub/shower enclosure when GFCI protected
• Built-in damper reduces the amount of back drafting and helps with blower door testing
• Built-in metal flange acts as an air barrier protecting drywall from moisture penetration, as well as a method of decreasing leakage in the building envelope during blower door testing

Optional models also include LED lighting with a contemporary flush mount grille that incorporates one 10W dimmable LED chip panel with <1W LED night light for warm, energy efficient illumination. Panel specifications include: 3000 Kelvin Warm White/90CRI/700 lumens/70 LPW/ENERGY STAR 2.0 certified/ JA-8 compliant for CA Title 24 /50,000 hours rated average life.
