Proven HetNet Technology Set to Facilitate Urban and Rural Connectivity
NASHUA, N.H., July 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Parallel Wireless, Inc., the pioneer in making cellular network deployments as easy and as cost-effective as Wi-Fi today announced a collaboration with Telefonica I+D, an innovation unit of one of the largest telecommunications providers globally. The agreement will allow for trials of Parallel Wireless virtualized RAN (vRAN) solution to provide digital services in dense urban and remote areas in European and Latin American markets.

This new partnership will advance Telefonica's ongoing innovation, including both rural and urban HetNets. Parallel Wireless will enable low cost coverage allowing efficient spectrum management. These services will leverage the unique capabilities of Parallel Wireless vRAN with ease of install, backhaul flexibility including resilient wireless mesh and real-time network orchestration.
